The production of basmati non-basmati rice is growing over the years. The major reason behind this is the increasing demands of buyers. And, to fulfill those demands Indian states produce many varieties according to the consumers demands.
At large, rice production and exports contributes to the Indian economy and global trade market. Throughout the years, new records of rice production get updated with rapid growth.

Major Destinations For Exports:
Indian rice exports to many countries through the rice exporters. The major destination countries are: Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq, United Arab Emirates and USA. These are some major and largest importers of basmati and non-basmati.
Exports records are increasing every year. In the year 2021, the exports happened around 17.72 million tons of total rice varieties from India.
These export values contribute to the economy. And the cultivation of rice crops minimizes unemployment fears.
Indian rice exports is continuous to grow worldwide. It largely will impact the position of the country as the topmost exporter country. It would achieve the first top country of rice exporters.

There are a total of 28 states in India, in which 10 states majorly produce rice. That includes almost all varieties of rice, categorized under basmati rice and non-basmati rice.
And, Haryana is the largest basmati rice producing state in comparison to other states. It accounts for 60 percent of the production. Uttar Pradesh has placed as the second largest production state. It has a record of 17.1 percent.
This variety of rice is the main staple dish worldwide. Many people consider meals as incomplete without basmati rice. The reason for this might be the uncountable characteristics of the grain and the versatility of it.
