In producing rice, farmers play the most important role.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As growing years, science research and new advanced technologies increased rapidly. New farming technology helps in producing quality crops. Those chemicals are many, for example; fertilisers, pesticides, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"roles-of-farmers\"><strong>Roles Of Farmers:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n<p>Farmers are remarkably the backbone of the Indian economy, without them, the human species would not live. They are that pillar of the society that takes care of the survival of a living being and primarily the source of employment of many.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If we look at the role they play or activities they do, it is absolutely amazing. They are a very important part of our society but still they are lacking in many opportunities or benefits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a developing country, farmers usually have less access to technologies for producing crops effectively. And to fulfil the demands of food in future, the rice production needs to increase now, which is simultaneously happening day by day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If something has positive impacts, then it must have negative aspects as well. However, rice production using new technologies somehow harms the environment to a larger extent.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For that, the solution is required because the farming of rice produces 10-15 percent methane emissions and to improve the yielding, farmers need to embrace better farm practises.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"challenges-faced-by-farmers\"><strong>Challenges Faced By Farmers:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n<p>One must notice the challenges and constraints that disturbs rice farming. Below are the discussion of those challenges:-<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Around 80 percent farmers of India are in marginal countries which results in lack of availability of resources. Due to which, they are unable to give best inputs to the crops.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"2\"><li>The lack of awareness and knowledge about efficient farming. Some farmers still produce the traditional varieties because they are unaware about the new seeds&#8217; availability.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"3\"><li>The fertilisation in low soil which happens due to soil erosion directly leads to bad crops that lose their nutritional values already.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"4\"><li>More often, crops of basmati rice suffer due to inadequate rainfall. Farmers in the uplands are powerless and unaware about conservation of soil moisture which impacts the crops.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" start=\"5\"><li>There is also excessive use of fertilisation and lack of efficiency, specifically in the northern and eastern states.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Henceforth, all the major challenges occur only because of lack of awareness regarding new developing technologies. There must be awareness about new ways of yielding crops which helps farmers to produce finest crops and save their time also.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, the role of farmers in the production of basmati rice will be a huge one forever. They are the standing one of the pillars of Indian society. These production pays largely in the economy altogether.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"strategies-for-better-productivity\"><strong>Strategies For Better Productivity:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n<p>The challenges are very high which shows the importance of new strategies to enhance productivity. Following are some strategies that might be adopted in various states;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>There must be an emphasis on all over the cropping system rather than focusing on one.<\/li><li>Set of demonstrations of cropping on the fields along with training that must include women in efficient crop production.<\/li><li>Some ways for improving soil fertility by the inclusion of leguminous crops as crops of mixture.<\/li><li>Must encourage other new products or soil for better alkaline soil or acidic.<\/li><li>Learn them the use of new technologies and bio-fertilizer such as Azolla and blue-green Algae.<\/li><li>There must be encouragement for farmers to use new machines for yielding farms along with bullock carts and hand implements.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"production-of-basmati-rice\"><strong>Production Of Basmati Rice:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/alfatechservices.com\/test\/largest-basmati-rice-production-states-of-india\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The production of basmati rice<\/a> is higher this latest year in comparison to previous. Even though, in the pandemic year the production and demand of rice spiked. According to the association of rice exporters, this period the availability of grains is good because of good rains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also, the newest reason behind the largest production this year, is new buyers (countries) added to the exporting list.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the records, India has produced basmati and non-basmati rice 121.46 million tonnes in the year 2020-21 compared to the previous year which is 118.87 million tonnes.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"farmers-must-include-some-practises-in-farming\"><strong>Farmers Must Include Some Practises In Farming:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n<p>Rice is an extremely important crop worldwide and it is very sensitive to produce. However, to produce organic grain crops, there are always some practises that are recommended widely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And, to protect from disease and use of good pests, some practises are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Must use the clean seeds and variety of seeds to grow according to climate changes.<\/li><li>The cleaning of equipment and the fields on a daily basis.<\/li><li>Planting of seeds must be similar to the neighbouring field to protect from harmful things.<\/li><li>There is encouragement in natural pests and must be stored properly for rice grains.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>To embrace the good farming of crops, a farmer must&nbsp; be aware and updated to the new technologies and steps taken by the government.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rice is the most important grain for everyone, hence keeping it safe and protecting it should be the primary responsibility of farmers.
